Hi there, I have been using the free version of the plugin which works great in that it is showing only the pages pertaining to each section in the sidebar which is what I wanted, and I just bought the pro version so I could style these section (in-page) menus. I am having an issue in that I can’t actually style the in-page menu as it currently exists. When I choose the “Main Nav” menu (I only have one menu) from the “select menu” dropdown in the widget settings, it shows the entire “Main Nav” menu in the sidebar, rather than just the in-page navigation that I currently show.
So if my “Main Nav” menu includes Home, Departments and News, and under Departments I have IT and Communications, but I only want to show Communications (parent page) and Page One and Page Two (child pages) in the sidebar and be able to style just that section, how do I do it?
Thanks,
Denise
OnPoint Plugins
Hi Denise,
The “Advanced Sidebar – Navigation” block supports a “Display the current item’s section only” option which may be toggled on to display the menu in a similar way as the “Advanced Sidebar – Pages” block displays the current items.
More information may be found here.
One different between the 2 blocks is there is currently no setting to turn off the display of the highest level menu item in the Navigation block. Instead you may hide the top level item using the following custom CSS.
You may need to adjust the menu styles slightly to account for the hidden top level item. If you would like to send us a link to where we can see the menu and let us know of further adjustments, we will be happy to help.
Have a great weekend!

Ah that was the issue, I was using Advanced Sidebar – Navigation rather than Advanced Sidebar – Pages for the widget, I’m all set now.
Thanks so much for your quick response – you have a great wkd as well!
