Grandparent pages not displaying.

Resolved

Requested: 10 months and 5 days ago

On these sample pages I have highest level parent set to display as Blue,
Child menu items to display as green,
and grandchild items to display in red,
and Current items to display as purple.

I tried using the ‘Advanced Sidebar – Navigation’. The current pages
grandparents show up, like we want it to, but for some reason
the ‘current’ page does not show up in the page list. Is there a way
we can get the plugin to display the ‘current’ page in this
page list?

So we tried using the ‘Advanced Sidebar – Pages’ Widget, but it’s not
showing all of the current pages grandparents. Is it possible to display
the current page and all the parents, grandparents, siblings and grandchildren
of the page that it’s on? For some reason I have this option checked:
“Display the current page’s direct family only
“Only display the current page and any parents, grandparents, children or grandchildren of the current page. ”
But the grandparents are not showing up on the page for some reason.

here are the URLs of the test pages:

Test Page – Child Page of Community

Test Page 3 – Child Page of Classes

    Hi Deanne,

The ‘Advanced Sidebar – Navigation’ widget will only display items which have been added to the selected menu. It appears your test pages may not have been added to the selected menu and therefore are not showing up as the current page.

The ‘Advanced Sidebar – Pages’ widget appears to be showing the top level parent (highest level grandparent) but not indenting the the level directly under it.

    1. Test Page – A first level child so technically it has no grandparent. The highest level page to use as a grandparent is “Community”.
    2. Test Page 3 – A grandchild page so in this case “Community” is the grandparent and appears to be displaying.

To add some indent below the grandparent page, you may use the following custom CSS.

    Have a great weekend!

Thanks for your help!  Oops, I wasn’t thinking correctly regarding the Navigation widget and thought I had added the test page to that menu.
