    Velvet Blues is no longer maintained so I gave this plugin a try. Works just as well plus fixes the links that Velvet Blues always missed.

    As far as I’m concerned, Go Live is the new standard for changing domains.

    Highly recommended.

    I run a WordPress agency with many websites. I have been using this plugin for years and every time I update there is something new and amazing. I use it on every site I create to convert the staging sites to live sites during launch, and it never fails. It could be just in my head, but the latest version seems faster to me. Don’t bother with the free version as the paid version is well worth it. I have never needed support so I can’t speak to that, but when Wpengine originally recommended this plugin to me, they said it was amazing.

    I needed to migrate my site from one domain to another one.

    I did a brutal search and replace of the domain name in the DB, it just did not work. I lost all the configuration of the theme and other plugins making use of the domain name.

    Go Live not only replaced the old domain with the new one, but also updated correctly all the serialized objects!

    Wow! I had to switch my site from a temporary development domain to the live domain and am glad I found this plug-in. I used the Pro version and all I had to do was enter the old and new addresses and click a button. It finished so quickly I wondered if it had actually done anything, but was immediately able to use the new URL to get to the site and check it out — all was OK.

    This was a one-time thing for me and I probably could have used the free version, but thought that the developers earned their money by making it so easy. Thanks, folks!
