Advanced Sidebar Menu PRO
Fully automatic sidebar menus.
Everything you need, nothing you don’t.
Advanced Sidebar Menu PRO makes managing your menus fully automatic. With just enough options to get the job done, this WordPress plugin is extremely lightweight and easy to use.
Here are some features we think you will like.
Accordion Menus
Accordion Menus take your menus to the next level by giving your users the ability to open and close sections of your menu. You can choose to keep all your menus closed until a user clicks an icon or just leave the top levels open. Choose the icon style and color that matches your site and you’re ready to go.
Style Options
Give your menus some style to dress them up to match your site. You can choose different styles for different levels on your menu. You can select a bullet style for your menu with seven styles to choose from, or select none to show no bullets. You can even style the current item or parent of the current item separately. Intuitive color pickers make choosing colors easy. Be sure to try out the “block styling” option.
Custom Post Types and Taxonomies
Create menus from the post types and taxonomies your site supports. Works out of the box with any public, hierarchical post type of taxonomy your site supports. Use a simple dropdown to select your post type or taxonomy and the rest is automatic. This is commonly used for things like WooCommerce product categories.
Navigation Menus
Turn your WordPress custom menus into sidebar menus by using the Advanced Sidebar - Navigation widget or block. Any menu created within Appearance -> Menus may be used! Want to add some styles or maybe an accordion? No problem, these menus support all style and accordion options, as well as options to display the current items only.
Link Adjustments
Ever wanted to change the text displayed in the menu? Now you can! This plugin creates simple options available on every page which let you customize how it is handled. Changing the text is as easy as entering it into a field. Excluding a page from all menus is done with single click checkbox.

Priority support is having your own support team standing by to make sure you are successful. In-depth troubleshooting, guidance, styling assistance, extending, and filtering are just a few things included with Priority Support. You also get access to the members only support area.

The menus offer plenty of style options for the majority of my projects. The documentation tells me the rest.

Fantastic support A++++
Above and beyond helpful. My issue turned out to be user error and the guys over here were polite and walked me through the widget settings without making me feel stupid. Way better than what I usually get from plugin companies.

Not working at twentytwentyone theme.
OnPoint Plugins –
This plugin does work with the twentytwentyone theme. In fact we have a whole test site dedicated to the twentytwentyone theme.
It is worth noting that out of the box the twentytwentyone theme does not contain any widget areas besides the footer. As themes define their own widget areas, there not much this plugin can do about adding sidebar support to a theme.
If you are unable to see the widgets in the footer, please see the FAQ section which explains the most common reasons why a widget does not show up.

Advanced Sidebar Menus is a nice little plugin that does what it says it does right out of the box. All you have to do is place the correct widget (for page hierarchy OR post category hierarchy) in the right location. Good job!

I tried the free version first to make sure it would work for my site thinking I really wanted the paid version. I was right, the paid version is much better and what I needed. This seems like the kind of widgets that should be included in WordPress core, but they are not.
Thank you Advanced Sidebar Menu for making my project, and my day. 🙂

I have 2 questions
1) How can I add the number of posts in each category instead of displaying each post name
2) If a post belong to a category, then to its subcategory, then to its sub-sub-category, how can I display the post name only on the sub-sub-category?
Thanks for this great plugin

So slick I’m just looking for excuses to add menus. 1 in the header, 1 in the footer, 1 in the sidebar, why not… go crazy. If there was an award for the most menus created with a single plugin, I would win it.

Very easy to use and install plugin. Got my menu up and running in under 10 minutes. I like that you can select from different accordion icons and colors.
The only issue is I updated WordPress and the widgets screen looks broken and some of the widget buttons don’t work. Then menus still work and it functions ok, but the setting are clunky and look ugly.
OnPoint Plugins –
We totally understand what you are saying about the widget forms looking broken. WordPress 5.8 changed the styles of the screen to support using Gutenberg blocks which caused some widget forms (this and other plugins) to look a bit off. Luckily, we accounted for these changes in version 8.6.0 of the basic plugin and version 8.5.0 of the PRO version. If you update your plugins to the mentioned versions you will see there are no longer any issues and everything looks as it should.
