show external links in the sidebar menu

Resolved

Hi,

your plugin is very useful! Thanks 🙂

I installed it and it works fine, but I wonder why the individual links from the wordpress menu are not shown in the additional menu?

Is there a workaround or a checkbox I missed?

Cheers

Philipp

    Hi Philipp,

Are you using the “Advanced Sidebar Navigation Menu” widget? If you would like items from your WordPress menus to be included, this is the widget to use.

When using the “Advanced Sidebar Pages Menu” widget, only pages in your hierarchy will included in your menu. If you would like to include external URL links in your menu, one approach would be to use a plugin like Page Links To to create placeholder pages which match items in the WordPress menus but actually link to external sites.

    1. Create pages to match the custom links in your WordPress menu.
    2. Assign the pages to appropriate parent pages.
    3. Optional set the “Order” or the pages.
    4. Use Page Links To fields to point them to an external site.

Disclaimer: “Page Links To” was not created nor is supported by us.

    Have a great day!
