Hello – I have lifetime license for Advanced Sidebar Menu Pro. I have a client who I’m offboarding, and I’d like remove my license. I will recommend that they purchase their own, but they will have no motivation to do so if mine is still there.
How can I remove my license without deleting the plugin entirely (and breaking their site).
Thanks for your help.
OnPoint Plugins
Hi Leslie,
Unfortunely, a license is integrated within the code of a plugin and cannot be removed without deleting the plugin and reinstalling a new download from a different account.
We could cancel the license and generate a new one for you, but your client will no longer be able to use the widgets nor blocks in the admin of their site.
Let us know if you want us to regenerate your license.
P.S. Our team is on a retreat next week so responses will take some time.
OnPoint Plugins
Hi Leslie,
There is one other option you could do if you want to edit the code. If you look in the
advanced-sidebar-menu-pro
folder you will see a PHP file namedLICENSE.php
. You you change the value of the “hash” found in this plugin to something else, you will effectively remove your license from the plugin on that particular site without having to regenerate your license.Note: This site will prompt that license is invalid the you won’t be able to edit/add any Advanced Sidebar menus on the site. Existing menus will remain intact and functional.
