Product page + Sidebar

Resolved

Requested: 4 years and 11 months ago

Hello Matt , I have been using the plugin for a while and it’s great. I have an Important issue here. I am building an E commerce website for my customer.

I created a first ( Categories page)   >  ( Subcategories page )  > ( Single Product page with woo commerce )

The problem is I want to keep the sidebar to display the links.

For the first and second level it’s fine because I created ” Pages ” My issue is when the customers click on the product , the links between the 2 past pages and the product are gone.

My goal is to keep the sidebar even on the woo commerce single product page along with it’s links ( Categories and subcategories manually created page and links. )

Thank you

    Hi Ghassan,

I attempted to follow your example, however clicking on any product on that page goes to http://www.test.com.

I took a look at your widget settings and they appear to be correct for displaying on your product single pages. Is the widget not displaying or not working as desired?

Hello Matt , The widget is working fine . The problem is , the widget currently links only parent and child pages
Pages > pages > pages > woo commerce product
My problem is , instead of ” test.com ” I want to add the single product woo commerce link . The thing is I loose all the hierarchy and links between the pages so the sidebar doesn’t link properly and the breadcumbs become the woo commerce ones.
Is there a way to link a product to a parent page other to than its category or home ( default )

    Hi Ghassan,

Currently there is no way to relate pages to products (at least not without some serious extending of both products, pages, and this plugin).

The closest thing I can think of would be to use Product Categories as a menu and select the option to display products under each category. It doesn’t sound like this will work for your use case because you are display page content in each section.

Sorry I can’t be more help.

Hello Matt , thank you for your response. I have figure out a way that would work but be a little longer . I will create a new page for each product and add the ” woo commerce product page ” widget . In that way it will be a page .
It is linking everything together . Thank you for your help !
