Beaver Builder Support

Resolved

Requested: 4 years and 6 months ago

Hello,

I have 2 questions:

1) Should it work via a page builders? I am using beaver builder and beaver themer, and adding to the widget to a themer layout that applies to all pages. But the formatting of the widget doesn’t work and so I can’t select any styles.

2) Can I use a shortcode to add this to a page, similar to  https://en-gb.wordpress.org/plugins/page-list/? I thought I’d read shortcode support was a part of Pro, but I think I may have misread this?

Thanks

Stuart

sorry I forgot the screenshot https://cl.ly/060W2x3t1p1S – see the ‘click to show styles’ link at the button, which isn’t clickable. all seems a bit broken?

    Hi Stuart,

Version 3.4.0+ of this plugin does support Beaver Builder.

The plugin does not currently have short-code support. We considered adding support at the beginning of 2018 but this is another thing that Gutenberg is replacing, so I can’t say for sure at this time if it will be added.

    Have a great night!

    Hi Mat,

Thanks for the quick response, a little disappointing I guess but can understand your focus on Gutenberg.

    A couple of questions:

    1) can you expand on this line in the article you linked to above “If you prefer you may still add an individual widget to the page is you select all the same options as the sidebar widget.” I don’t quite understand this.

    2) if I was to pay you for either 1) a “light” shortcode implementation just for what we need 2) to fix the beaver builder issue, would you consider this as a piece of consulting work, or are you too resource constrained?

    3) if I ask my existing developers (https://www.makedo.net/) to fix this, would you like us to issue a PR for it so you can include in a future release of the plugin?

    4) if we decide it’s better to build this ourselves can I get a refund on the plugin purchase given we wont be using it?

    Thanks

    Stuart

p.s. “Gutenberg right around the corner which virtually makes Beaver Build obsolete” … I’m not sure that’s quite true, there is an enormous amount of functionality in Beaver Builder that Gutenberg is absolutely nowhere near to!

    Hi Stuart,

    1) In there particular case they had different options selected in their widget’s area than the options selected in the widget being used in the builder.

    2) I am currently booked through August, but may consider taking this on in September.

    3) Certainly. Any pull request submitted to the repo will be considered.

    4) Refunds may be requested at any time and will be give under the terms of service at the time of request.

    Have a great day!

I wanted to stop in to say that version 3.4.0 was released today which now supports Beaver Builder!

Anyone who previously had issues, should head on over and update the basic version to 7.4.0 and the PRO version to 3.4.0.

    Enjoy!
