GO LIVE on /wp website

I tried to use the tool to GO LIVE on a domain from a /wp domain where I created a website and I realised that the tool just changed the database, did not GO LIVE in the new link. What have I done incorrectly? Please advise. I created the website on www.praisechapelinternational.org/wp but now need to GO LIVE without the /wp.

My expectation and investment in this tool is that it can do this for me easily. Please advise how I can do this using the tool.

Good Morning Phil,

This plugin does not change any settings on your server nor does it rearrange your file structure. However, assuming your server supports rewrites via .htaccess, you may accomplish this using the following steps:
1. Create an .htaccess file in the root directory of your server. Not the “wp” directory, but one level above it.
2. Add the following contents to this file.
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !^/wp/ RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /wp/$1 RewriteRule ^(/)?$ wp/index.php [L] RewriteRule ^([_0-9a-zA-Z-]+/)*$ wp/index.php [L] </IfModule>
