We using Advanced Sidebar Menu Pro on a new site for a college. There are some nav items that need to link to an external website. How can we add external links as menu items and have them appear in the Sidebar Menu?

Thank you!

    Hi Dan,

When using the “Advanced Sidebar Pages Menu” widget, only pages in your hierarchy will included in your menu. If you would like to include custom URL links in your menu, one approach would be to use a plugin like Page Links To to create placeholder pages which actually link to external sites.

    1. Create pages to match the custom links.
    2. Assign the pages to appropriate parent pages.
      1. In this case you’ll want to set to the parent page to “Päätöksenteko”.
    3. Use Page Links To fields to point them to an external site.

    Have a great day!
