Elementor Category Widget – too many items.

Resolved

Requested: 3 years and 6 months ago

Hi Mat,

sorry to bother you but we are finding a problem with the way we have used the menu and hoping you could provide suggestions or a method to better use the plugin.

on this page: https://www.devonport.tas.gov.au/live/your-community/cemeteries/cemeteries-memorial-parks/mersey-vale-memorial-park/

You will see there is too many items – I’m not saying this is a plugin’s issue at all, I’m just trying to find a method which will pave the way forward for practical user experience.

Hopefully you may have some suggestions?

Cheers
Cain

    Good Morning Cain,

I took a look at your “90” category structure and I can see what you are talking about.

Here are a few suggestions which may help:

    1. You could break about the categories to live under multiple top level categories instead of all of them being under “Live in Devonport”. For example you could create another top level category and move “Environment” under the new one.
    2. You could enable the “Keep all accordion sections closed until clicked” option in the widget.
    3. The menu could start on the grandchild level instead of the child level. If this is something you want, let me know and I will come up with a filter for you.

    Have a great day!

    Mat Lipe
