Double click required to activate accordion menu

Resolved

Requested: 3 years and 1 month ago

Hi,

We have your advanced sidebar menu installed on our site and you can view it on this page – https://shop.loaded4x4.com.au/product-category/racks/

The red arrows that you click to open the menu and view the sub-categories needs two clicks. When the page loads the arrows point down suggesting that clicking them will open the menu (as you’d expect) but when you click the arrow spins around 180 degrees and then you need to click again to activate the menu. Any ideas why this might be happening? We need a fix obviously as it will confuse customers.

Regards,

Steane

    Hi Steane,

I tracked down the issue to some conflicting JavaScript added by either the theme or another plugin. It is added directly to the output of the site so I can’t determine where it is coming from by looking at the source.

Here is the conflicting JavaScript which may be seen on line 1126 of the page source.

If you remove this code, the menu will start working like normal.

If you are using the code for something else, you may adjust it to exclude the sidebar menu. Something like this may do the trick:

    Have a great day!

    Mat Lipe
