Unable to verify whether this site is accessible from the New URL

Resolved

Requested: 3 years and 3 months ago

Hi,

I am moving a site from a subdomain to the main public folder; however, when I change the OLD URL (2022.website.com) to the NEW URL (website.com). The NEW URL is the domain of the current site, but it still says “Unable to verify whether this site is accessible from the New URL.” Shouldn’t this be able to verify if the domain and server have not changed?

    Hi Shawn,

There are a couple instances where the plugin is unable to reliably determine if the new URL will be accessible:

    1. A subdirectory is included in the URL.
      1. For example website.com/path
    2. The Old URL does not match the current site’s URL.
      1. If the Old URL is not the same as the site’s URL, the plugin is unable to determine if the site will be accessible as the site’s URL will not change.

    Have a great day!
