We are working to convert several large documents to WordPress. The largest document is 102 pages and it cascades to 3 levels. Your Advanced Sidebar Menu Pro looks like the perfect plugin to simplify making a Table of Contents as a sidebar.
I had a screenshot to upload but here’s the URL to:
Assistive Technology and the Law, this example shows the hierarchy of parent pages WITH the active parent bolded (GREAT) and the continued page indented (also, great).
However, I thought I correctly set the menu to 1) show accordions and 2) is there a way to add page numbers? I guess I could rename the pages pg1 Assistive Technology and the Law, pg2 Assistive Technology and the Law (cont.)…
Is that what you would recommend or… is there a way to “populate” with page numbers?
Also, at the very bottom of this Pro menu, it shows the 2nd primary menu tab’s title (AEM TA Document). Although I added its page ID to the settings, it still shows. (That section will need its own, separate Advanced Sidebar Menu.)
If you use the breadcrumb navigation to go back to AT-TA Document, Part B, can I have this page look like the page above? What setting would I need to change?
If you use YOUR menu to go to any page other than these two, you’ll see the painful, manual way I was trying to make the TOC. This was using TablePress – which we DO love because it’s responsive and accessible – BUT… I would much rather use your product for building these two document TOCs – and, we have another 65-page doc that has to be added.
I’m going to provide you with a login to our back-end – thinking it will be easier to see the settings.
In advance, thank you for your help,

Hello Lynda,
Turns out the example page is using it’s own individual version of the widget via Beaver Builder. When I switch the section to use the sidebar instead of it’s own widget, the accordion and exclusion of pages begins to work. If you prefer you may still add an individual widget to the page is you select all the same options as the sidebar widget.
For page numbers, you may select decimal as the bullet style for simple numbers. There are filters to add text before the links but no really good way to increment them reliably. Adding the page numbers to the title will work fine.
Using the breadcrumbs to go back to AT-TA Document ends up on a page which is also using it’s own version of the widget. Switching the section to use the sidebar will also fix this issue.
Have a great weekend!

Oh Mat!
Thank you, thank you, thank you… for your kind help (I should have KNOWN this) and for your “genius” in developing this plugin! I’m going to write a very positive review for you on your product page!
Can’t thank you enough… you can “see” how helpful this is to me! I have a long row to hoe!

I wanted to stop in to say that version 3.4.0 was released today which now supports Beaver Builder!
Anyone who previously had issues, should head on over and update the basic version to 7.4.0 and the PRO version to 3.4.0.
Enjoy!
