Hi Mark,
Although our plugins have no control over the WordPress core auto update system, we ran some tests against the WordPress core auto update system and our plugins appear to be updating without issue.
Auto update for plugins does require each plugin manually enabled. More information on enabling plugin auto updates may be found here.
As far as you title issue goes, I see you are running version 8 of PRO and version 9 of basic on your site. Because version 9 is a major update, in order for the PRO version to function, it must be updated to version 9. Alternatively, you may rollback to version 8 of the basic plugin.
Have a great day!

Hello,
“Auto update for plugins does require each plugin manually enabled”
this has already been done on all sites, it still is not updating
mark kester
it is working now that i have updated to 9.0, but all of the plugins were already enabled to automatically update

The Site Health section of the WordPress admin should give you information about any issues with your auto update system.
The only other thing I can suggest, is the auto updater runs on a cron. The plugins screen will typically tell you when the next update will happen. Something like.
Perhaps the cron has not run yet or your site’s cron is not working correctly.
