PHP Warnings Illegal Offset When Using Filter

Resolved

Requested: 2 years and 1 month ago

Hi- The following warnings are spamming my error logs when I use the add_action(‘advanced-sidebar-menu/menus/page/order’,’custom_top_page’, function to sort page sidebar menu items in descending order:

  • Illegal offset type in isset or empty in wp-includesclass-wp-hook.php on line 76
  • Illegal offset type in wp-includesclass-wp-hook.php on line 78

WP 5.7, PHP 7.4.

Advice?  Thanks.

    Hi Susan,

Here is a simple filter which will change the order to DESC.

More information may be found here.

    Have a great day!

Hi – that doesn’t change the sort to desc, but doesn’t throw any warnings either

    Hi Susan,

Can you send me a link to where I can see the menu? That way I see exactly what is going on and why the filter is not working as intended.

LOL, I just changed it to ASC and it’s now sorting the way I want
