Only showing children of current page using Pro Navigation widget

I just purchased a license Advanced Sidebar Menu PRO plugin. I’m using the Navigation widget so that I can use my current primary menu as the items from the sidebar navigation menu. Is there a way to only show child pages for the current page, and not child pages for all pages in the section of the site?

Hi Bill,

If you check the “Display the current items’s parents only” option the menu will only display items related to the current page.

That works to hide the siblings of the Parent page, but we are seeing all the children pages showing when any pages inside a section of the site.

I have included more details in the Private section.

You may limit the displayed levels to 2 when viewing the top level page by adding the following filter to your active theme’s functions.php file:

1. To use this filter you must first update to the newly published version 3.11.0 of the PRO plugin.
2. This works best when “Display the current items’s parents only” is checked (which you probably already have done).
3. Version 3.11.0 is also smart enough to limit the menu items to just the parents and children of the current page when not on a top level page.

Hi Mat,

Thanks for the quick turn around – your support has been amazing so far! I updated the plugin and added the filter, but it’s not quite what I’m looking to do. I do want it to only show children of the current page, but also siblings of the current page (and back up to parent). I put additional details in the private section.

If you update to newly released version 3.11.1 of PRO and remove the previous filter in favor of this one, it should do what you are looking for.
