I bought Go Live pro and after starting it, it arrived at a screen of links and info that looked like a screen that did not load fully. After that, my development site (wp.domain.com) is inaccessible and I’m left with my placeholder site on domain.com. How on earth do I get back into the admin and try again.
Unable to access my new domain on website.

Hi James,
It appears your new domain is not pointed to same server as your dev domain was. If you ping your new domain you will see it is pointed to 213.239.221.71 and your dev domain is pointed to 78.46.90.20. Until you point your DNS of the new domain to the server where the site lives at 78.46.90.20, there is no way to access your admin unless you restore from a backup.
Ultimately the new domain must be pointed to the server where the site lives no matter what process you use to change the domain. The good news is once you point the domain the site will work as desired without having to re-run this plugin.
For future reference, if you use the test tool built into this plugin it will tell you the site is not accessible from the new domain which lets you know the domain/server still needs to be setup before running the plugin and prevents these types of unfortunate mishaps.
Let me know if you have any questions

Very nice response. Am calling the host provider now, and I do have a back-up. I will alter the product review after my little emergency is over.
Kind regards,

Off the phone with the host provider in Switzerland, and things are exactly as you explained. My placeholder website on my pure domain.com were built using the host provider’s entry point simplistic wp-like tool and the whole thing thus was sat on a different server. My WordPress development version of the real website was on wp.domain.com, and the wp installation was in the cloud with the host provider and thus kept separate from their own simple development tool. The host provider has turned several screws and due worldwide server timings, (and he mentioned DNS too, assuming these pertain to each other,) the real website built with WordPress will be available at domain.com by the end of 24 hrs. He advised to check in 5 hrs, then 10, then hourly, this particular advise because I’m on the east coast USA and the site is hosted 6 hrs ahead in Switzerland. Once it’s live, I’m told I can use domain.com/wp-admin successfully (i.e. the results of using the Go Live plug-in), where I can fix any loose ends, if any. I will be in touch with conclusions. Thanks.

24 hrs passed waiting on the server change abroad, and was on the phone this morning one last time with Switzerland since a remaining screw had to be turned. The site went live as a result. Spent the next few hours checking every link and other functionality and the Go Live plug in has clearly done a complete job. Awesome. No loose ends, except one form error that was probably not related. The plug in didn’t warn me before proceeding that my target site was controlled by a non-WordPress builder on another server, but we got that part sorted out. Many thanks.
