Hi Mat, I was able to get the Divi Shortcodes for each of my links (thank you again for your help on that), but I can’t seem to figure out if it is possible to use that ID in a regular link in text on my site.
My goal is to have a page that has all of the links that are on the site (broken up into categories, of course). Some of these links will appear inside a sentence and I would like to create those links with a reference to my Simple Links id. The trick is that text of the standalone link will almost always be different from the link in a sentence (e.g., the text of the standalone link might be “Very Important Article, 2 Jul 2018” but the text in the sentence might be “Read more about this here.”
Do you know of a way to do this?
Thanks in advance for your help?

Hi Andrew,
I was going to write you a filter to support this then I thought, “Why not just add this to the plugin?”.
Version 1.3.0 or PRO has been released which supports using the standard link icon in content editor. You may search for a link and select it which will automatically link to the web address of the link.
Have a great day!

I downloaded version 1.3 and tried to install it but it tells me that the folder already exists. I am happy to deactive and delete the existing 1.2 but I do not want to lose any of the links or work I have done. Is there a better way to update the plugin or should I proceed with manually deleting the existing pro version and installing the new one?

Hi Andrew,
You may use the standard WP plugin update process or replace the plugin manually.
Either way will work fine and does not delete any existing data.
Have a great day!
